Pretty Pillow

Any guesses where I got the fabric to make this pillow?

Okay, I'll just tell you.

It came from an old jumper.
It was the skirt part.

But I forgot to take a picture before I cut the skirt off.
Sorry.

Here's what's left of the jumper, though.

I love using things I already have to make stuff.

Coffee Table Redo

Remember this thrifty find?

Well, I didn't get to it before winter came, and so I'm just now finishing it up.
A few weeks ago, I painted the base,

and on Saturday my husband helped me make the top,

then I stained it.

Now here's the question:

Should I keep it outside, or take it in?

Free Stuff For One of You!

Recently I was contacted by Jessica from a store called Fashion to Figure.  They are located in the Eastern United States with stores in New York, New Jersey, and Maryland.  They are also online though, and when Jessica offered to give one of you any one item up to $30, well how could I say no to that?!

Bringing Fashion to Figures 12-26

Some of my favorite things on the Fashion to Figure site are the accessories.

Right now, they are clearing out their scarves and they are only $7!  As a scarf hoarder myself, I can tell you that is a great deal!  They have this basic scarf in 4 different colors.
They are nice, but I love this blue polka dot one {it is currently in my shopping cart}
They also have some great inexpensive jewelry.
Each of these pieces is between $8-$12.

And they have bags!

This one is my favorite!  I may order it for myself for Mother's Day.

In addition to accessories, Fashion to Figure carries a nice selection of trendy dresses, jackets, bottoms, and tops.
Plus Size Stretch Pencil SkirtPlus Size Day or Night Skinny JeansPlus Size Tailored Boyfriend Blazer

For the giveaway, the winner gets to choose one item $30 or less from FashiontoFigure.com

To enter, go to FashiontoFigure.com and look around.  Let me know in the comments what you would pick if you win!

What are you waiting for?  We will pick a winner tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. MST.

Good Luck!

P.S.  For this giveaway, Fashion to Figure can only send to addresses in the domestic United States.  Sorry international friends!

P.S.S.  I am not being compensated for this post, but I wouldn't complain if that beautiful black bag ended up on my doorstep.  Just kidding.  Not really.

Brought to you by the letter A

 I can't get these photos to turn...sorry.

I did this project for my son, Ammon's room.  The map A in the middle was free{!}, the two A's on the left are from Hobby Lobby--the top one was 50% off, and I painted it, grand total: $3.50, the bottom one was also 50% off, and was $2.  The bottom A on the right I made with some old wood that I stole from my husband's firewood pile, The top left A on the right side {?} is from Hobby Lobby and was {you guessed it} 50% off, so it plus the paint was about $1.50 and the top right A on the right side was a preschool project that I framed.

$7 for a wall project is do-able, I'd say.

May Visiting Teaching Message {Conference Preserves}

Conference was so great last month!

Sometimes while I am listening to conference, I hear things that I wish I could preserve in my mind and heart forever--

...and then I look on other websites, and blogs, and on pinterest, and many of my favorite quotes from conference have been transformed by very talented people into beautiful artwork--preserved in a way--so that we can continue to remember them and learn from them and enjoy them.

I found several of these beautiful quotes from conference on the site ...and Spiritually Speaking

I thought they were so well done, that I talked to Sarah and got permission to share them with you.

For my sisters, I decided to preserve them in their own jar, so they could have them on hand to consume when they were hungry, or in a time of need.

To make your own Conference Preserves, you will need a jar {I used a wide-mouth quart jar}, the pretty quotes from conference that can be found here, here and here, {printed on white cardstock}some fabric {one 7 1/2 inch square and one 6 1/2 inch square-I rounded the corners}, ribbon or twine, and these tags

If you need the quotes in Spanish, you're in luck!  Wanda translated the quotes for Sarah, and she made Spanish versions of her printables.  You can find the quotes here, here, and here,
and here are the tags in Spanish.

It also might be fun to add some chocolate or a little treat in with them.

Happy Visiting Teaching!

P.S.  Sarah also has an Etsy shop, {Sprinkled Joy} where she does customizable prints and printables, including birth announcements and other beautiful things.  Go visit her shop!
