While visiting Tai Pan Trading last week, I fell in love with their red ruffle pillows...
but they were $30...
EACH!
I'm too cheap to drop that kind of money on a throw pillow, so I turned into my mother and told myself, "you could totally make that yourself at home..."
{I used to really hate it when we were shopping and she would say that, but I get it now.}
So, I came home and cut up an old sheet, and made myself some ruffle pillows.
They were pretty easy, too.
Now I need a few more in white, linen, etc. etc. and maybe with a few more ruffles next time. :)

Very cute!
So cute! And I hate to admit it, but mom was totally right most of the time.(: Anyway, you need to post tutorials for your lame sister who can't sew unless I have step by step guidelines.(:
Oooh, cute! I wonder if they'll go with my decor. Black, brown, and deep red. Now, to find the right material.
(BTW, this is Tawnya)
Great job! I wish I could sew!
I agree... very cute AND... for the lame sewers you need a tutorial!
Thanks for all of the nice comments! I guess I will have to do a tutorial...
Very cute! I had no idea you had this blog. How fun! :)
I would just like to let everyone know that I was wrong...the pillows are only $20 each...it's still way cheaper to do it yourself!
I know of a Linen shop on the Internet that has the highest quality linen I have seen and it is 50% cheaper than the store. The website is:
http://www.fabrics-store.com
go check it out!
