November Visiting Teaching Message

For the Visiting Teaching Message this month, I pulled a few of my favorite quotes from the October General Conference, and attached them to a turkey as the feathers.

To make your own, you will need 4 different colors of heavy paper for the feathers, and 1 brown sheet of heavy paper for the turkey...I like mixing prints, so I did that here, but you don't have to.  If you do, make sure your print is subtle enough that you can still read the quotes once you print them onto the paper.

You will also need a large brad to keep everything together.

I think I will take a fun autumn treat with me when I go, like pumpkin cookies or bread.

I also plan to go early this month before the craziness sets in.

Happy Visiting Teaching!

Very good idea, and the quotes will be showing during the entire time of decorating.

What did you use for your turkey body? I love this idea!

Denise: I just printed the turkey (there's a link in the post) onto brown cardstock, then cut them out. :)

I just checked out your blog from your comment on ours and you and your family are adorable! 5 kids- WOW! and I think my 4 keep me busy!
I love your daughter's artwork! I've seen that on pinterest and think my daughter would love it too! Gotta try that!
I think the fact that your hubs brought you a leaf bouquet is one of my favorite things ever!

Thanks for reading our blog and I'll definitely be checking yours out now too!

hello! me and my mom absolutely love this idea, but we can't print the feathers out to cover the whole page. it just prints out the screen of the webpage, does that make sense? Has anyone else had that problem?

I haven't heard of anyone else having that problem...When it takes you to the link, go to FILE in the upper left corner, then PRINT (PDF) and it should take you to the printable page. You can e-mail me if you have any more trouble. tandkdye@hotmail.com
